F.R.I.E.N.D.S

F.R.I.E.N.D.S ran from 1994 to 2004 and was brought to us by producers Kevin Bright, David Kane and Marta Kauffman. It tells the tale of six people Monica (Courtney Cox), Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Ross (David Schwimmer), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry).

This TV show is so much more than a sitcom in fact anyone that refers to friends as a sitcom has most likely never watched the show. They are not just characters in the show, but they also influence people with their heart touching performances. Basically, it describes about the time in one’s life when your friends become your family. And also, the time when anything that affects you affects your friends as well.

This show is incomplete without these six characters. Jennifer Aniston known as Rachel starts a show as a weak and inexperienced girl and grows to be an independent, responsible mother and a career woman. Courtney Cox as Monica is the epitome of OCD in competitive behavior and no doubt she is motherly center of the group. Lisa Kudrow’s, Phoebe is the free loving hippie of the group but is also a strong lady who survived without her parents and grew up on the streets. Matt LeBlanc delivers us Joey who is goofy and irresponsible actor of the bunch but has a heart of gold and would do anything for his friends. Matthew Perry gives us Chandler, a wisecracking funny comedic relief of the group and his spot on one liners make him a staple in the series. Lastly, we have David Schwimmer as Ross who brings a dorky warmth and fun embarrassing humor to the program.

The talented writers packed every individual show with hilarious and laugh-out-loud moments and at the same time filled those same plot lines with meaningful and emotional storytelling. These people were talented enough to write plot points that were carried out throughout the series. They continually wrote about Ross and Rachel’s love story as well as Monica and Chandler’s joining.

This is a show where you can put on any episode from any season and you would laugh hysterically and be moved in all 23 minutes. This great drama of television history will live on for many decades to come. Looking back at the show I must say that it had a good ending. The chapter of their lives that revolves around growing up and being mature has come to an end. Must watch this best comedy drama known as F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
